Liverpool, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will be aiming for wins this weekend, but they face tough match-ups in their respective clashes.

Action continues across Europe’s top five leagues this weekend, with the Premier League, LaLiga and Bundesliga kicking things off on Friday.

There were no upsets last weekend, as most of the top teams won their matches. This weekend could prove different, though.

Some of the top dogs face tricky opponents, leaving room for possible upsets. With that said, we look at some of this week’s biggest matches.

Ligue 1: PSG vs Lens

Luis Enrique’s start at PSG has been far from ideal. The former Barcelona manager was announced as PSG’s manager on a two-year deal, replacing Christophe Galtier.

Enrique was brought in to improve PSG’s fortunes but has struggled so far. The Spaniard has two draws from his first two matches in Ligue 1, against Lorient and Toulouse.

In fairness, he had to deal with the drama surrounding Kylian Mbappe and the exit of Lionel Mess and Neymar Jr.

However, PSG should still be beating Lorient and Toulouse without Mbappe. The two draws do not inspire confidence, but Enrique will be hoping to get his first win this weekend when Lens come to town.

It is not going to be easy, though, as Lens finished second behind PSG last season and even suffered fewer defeats.

However, the good news for PSG is that Lens have also made a disappointing start to the new campaign, taking one point from a possible six while dropping five points from losing positions.

Betting Prediction: PSG are priced at 1.60 on CasinoFans to win the game, while Lens have been given an odd of 5.33. However, over 2.5 goals at 1.65 is the best pick.

Premier League: Newcastle vs Liverpool

Newcastle and Liverpool have both had mixed starts to their Premier League season. Newcastle kicked off their campaign with a 5-1 win over Aston Villa before suffering a 1-0 defeat in their clash against Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Liverpool played a 1-1 draw in their opener against Chelsea before beating Bournemouth 3-1 at Anfield last weekend.

A lot is going into this match, even though it is just the third game of the season. Both teams are expected to challenge Manchester City for the title, meaning they cannot afford to drop many points.

Newcastle are the slight favourites but suffered a 2-0 defeat when the side met at St James’ Park last season.

Liverpool fans are not happy with the club’s business in the transfer market, but the Reds are unbeaten in 13 league games.

Betting Prediction: Newcastle are the slight favourite at odds of 2.20, while Liverpool are priced at 2.99. In terms of value bet, Over 3.5 at 2.18 is the best pick.

Bundesliga: Bayern Munich vs Augsburg

Bayern Munich started their campaign with a 4-0 win over Werder Bremen. Thomas Tuchel’s men started their season with a 3-0 loss to RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup.

However, they are still the team to beat after a superb win over Bremen. The Bavaria giants’ new star boy, Harry Kane, had a perfect debut in the game with a goal and one assist.

Meanwhile, Augsburg scored four goals of their own on Matchday 1, albeit in a thrilling 4-4 draw at home to Borussia Mönchengladbach.

The Bavarians came back from 2-0 and 3-1 to lead 4-3. But Tomas Cvancara's 97th-minute penalty denied Enrico Maaßen's team all three points.

Augsburg suffered a 5-3 loss in their clash against Bayern at the Allianz Arena, and it will be a shocker if the same result does not repeat itself.

Bayern have lost their last two fixtures at the Allianz Arena (both against Leipzig) but haven’t suffered three straight competitive defeats at home since 1977.

Betting Prediction: Both teams to score at 1.98

LaLiga: Villarreal vs Barcelona

Barcelona got their first win of the season last weekend against Cadiz, but it was far from convincing.

Xavi Hernandez’s men needed two late goals to see off the challenge of The Pirates” and “The Yellow Submarine.

Meanwhile, Villarreal bounced back from their opening day defeat with a 1-0 win at Las Palmas. However, The Yellow Submarine lost twice to Barcelona last season, including a 1-0 defeat in the corresponding match in February, while they have lost seven of their last eight league affairs with the Catalan outfit

Betting Prediction: This is tricky to call, but Over 2.5 at 1.65 looks like the best pick.
